CCI-TL Celebrates Thanksgiving Mass For Its 15th Anniversary

Dili, April 15, 2025 (Média Democracia) – Today, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL) celebrated its 15th anniversary with a thanksgiving Mass at St. Anthony Motael Parish Church in Dili. The Mass was attended by CCI-TL members, including the Minister of Commerce and Industry (MCI). The Mass of thanksgiving was held at Motael Church.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL), Jorge Serano, expressed his gratitude to God for providing strength and blessings to CCI-TL, which today celebrates its 15th anniversary in Timor-Leste.

“I sincerely thank God for granting strength and support to all of us within CCI-TL, as we celebrate this 15th anniversary. Many people celebrate birthdays, but for CCI-TL, this is about celebrating its existence for the nation,” said Jorge Serano, President of CCI-TL.

He also expressed appreciation to the Minister of Commerce and Industry for his presence, which reflects the strong commitment of the XI Constitutional Government in partnership with CCI-TL as part of the social business community.

“Today, we celebrate this thanksgiving Mass to receive grace, as Catholic believers, and we feel blessed through the Eucharist. We all gather here to give thanks for all the opportunities God has granted us over the past 15 years. As founders, we have carried CCI-TL to this day, through both challenges and achievements, with God always guiding us,”he added.

He emphasized that CCI-TL’s journey, whether small or significant, has always contributed to the country, and this year the organization is also preparing to join in the national celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence, which will take place in November. CCI-TL marks its 15th anniversary as part of this broader national milestone.

On the other hand, the Minister of Commerce and Industry (MCI), Nino Pereira, in his speech during CCI-TL’s 15th-anniversary celebration, also expressed gratitude to God for the grace and blessings that have accompanied the journey of the organization.

“We continue to thank God for His grace that has been given to us throughout this time, allowing us to gather here today to reflect on both the progress and the challenges that CCI-TL has faced. The organization has played an important role in addressing problems and offering new hope for the future,” said Minister Nino Pereira.

He further emphasized that despite the obstacles faced by CCI-TL, the organization must continue moving forward, as the XI Constitutional Government remains strongly committed to offering mutual hope and support. This commitment is crucial for overcoming challenges and achieving better development in the future.
