Dili, November 26, 2024 (Média Democracia) – The celebration of the 49th Independence Day for November 28, the Timor-Leste Port Authority, a public institution (APORTIL, I.P) received an order from the Government to make changes to the schedule of passengers who will board the Berlim Ramelau ship to Oe-cusse. The conference was held at the Aportil office, Ip, last Friday.
According to APORTIL President, I.P, Josè de Oliveira Leong said that the APORTIL board is currently receiving orders from the government about changing the Berlim Ramelau schedule based on the event on November 28 which will be held in the special region, Oe-Cusse.
“Regarding the schedule changes, here we have also prepared a new APORTIL schedule, starting today until November 29, for the schedule here we provide it to all of you so that it can be publish to the public regarding the schedule that we have prepared.” He said.
He continued, regarding the change in schedule, the reason was because there was an order from the government to the APORTIL, IP board to postpone it until November 26.
“Today it’s running and tomorrow it’s running, because tomorrow there might be an opening activity for feira activities and so on with the central government. Therefore, today and tomorrow we will start responding immediately, especially focusing on November 28 to escort residents and repatriate residents,” he continued.
On the other hand, Vogal II APORTIL, I.p, Leandro de Sena further explained that through the announcement issued by APORTIL from the circular for changes starting Friday, November 22 from Dili to Oe-Cusse with the normal schedule. However, after Saturday, November 23, the ship departed in the afternoon from Dili to Oe-Cusse, then on Sunday, November 24, the ship returned from Oe-Cusse to Dili.
He added that on Tuesday, November 26, the ship sailed according to the normal schedule, namely from Dili to Oe-Cusse and on November 28, the ship would stop in Oe-Cusse, because Oe-Cusse would commemorate November 28.
“Then depart from Oe-Cusse on November 29 and return to Oe-Cusse on December 3 with a normal schedule. That’s what we want to convey to the media,” he said.
It was further explained that in relation to the change in the Berlim Ramelau ship schedule, it will carry passengers from Dili to Oe-Cusse from November 22 to November 28, stopping in Oe-Cusse, so that passengers will take part in the celebration of the 49th Proclamation of Independence.
