Dili, November 14, 2024 (Média Democracia) – The Secretary of State for Regional Development (SEDL), Mateus W. dos Santos Tallo congratulated the Director of the Atauro Administration Agency who today has been entrusted with the handover of the position of Director to the Head of Department so that he can serve the community wholeheartedly.
Based on Decree Law No. 82 on Administrative Authority in February of MAE together with SEATOU and SEDL handed over Atauro Administrative Authority President and his secretary.
“After this, I think it is related to the diploma of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation number 42 of 2024 for filling the positions of Head, Director and Head of Service, the number of which is 19 people consisting of 10 Directors and 9 Heads of Service,” he told reporters at the INAP Hall, Comoro, on Wednesday.
In politics, the politic of IX government is about centralization and regional power with the excess of large tasks in the Atauro Administrative Authority.
“You have filled the vacancies in the Decree of the Minister of Law Number 42, therefore I challenge you all to work together with the President of the Atauro Administrative Authority and also the Secretaries to be able to serve the people of Atauro with a population of more than 12 thousand people. The Directors work in various sectors such as social, economic and infrastructure.” He said.
Therefore, SEDL asks the Directors who have accepted the position to have a vision to create innovative activities, because Atauro is a special area in the economic sector.
“Therefore, I challenge you to take a position with a good vision, so that it can align with the priority programs of the central government,” he said.
The Prime Minister has always spoken about Atauro taking a leading role in future infrastructure development, working with international partners and others. There is great interest in developing sectors in the Atauro Administrative Authority with government policy for a special fund for development in Atauro.
Therefore, the financial section of the Atauro Administration Authority must coordinate well so that the goals of the Atauro Administration Authority can be achieved, today’s activity is the handover of positions to the Directors in each Administration with trust in 19 of them.
As the National Commissioner for Public Functions, José Telo said that through this handover, the structure of the Atauro Administrative Authority, which has a small population, can be completed.
“Atauro with a small population, we come with a large structure, I think you accepted this position to serve well, to say that you have made compromises here on many things, based on our delivery from SEDL mentioned in the position of Director, they came directly to allow us to talk to MAE to give you the position.” He said
He said that what is meant by handover is handing over documents and legislation received or appointed by an agency or institution that carries out public functions, based on statutory regulations it is stated that in this case one agency can have two but its task is to serve.
“There are two that will be distributed, one to serve Atauro and another to serve Timor-Leste, I see that it is not only the Atauro community that is participating, but also from Laspalos who are also present at this handover. In this event I think this handover as I said has completed its structure, our hope is that the Atauro community will no longer scream about water, only public services such as health, education, land ownership certificates and so on that already exist.” He added
He hopes that with presence of inducted will be tasked with providing good service to the community so that the leadership can be good.
